Rotor Vanes and MountsWhat exactly are Rotor Vanes and Mounts? The rotor is an essential component of your win generator. The wind generator rotor is the set of spinning blades that absorb the kinetic energy from the wind, allowing the generator to turn the breeze into usage energy. Having a quality rotor will greatly increase the performance of your wind turbine. Wind Blue Power offers the Cy-Clone Rotor from TLG WindPower. We believe that this is one of the highest quality rotors on the market, and it is offered as part of our Lite Breeze and Breeze Kits, providing maximum performance to both turbines. This rotor works excellent with our generators, providing increased performance in high wind situations, and performs well in low wind areas also. The 5' Cy-Clone Rotor features a 3/16 Inch Thick Stainless Steel Hub, and 1/8 inch Thick Laser Cut Aircraft Grade Aluminum Blades for strength and durability. These blades are much quieter than traditional and cheap plastic blades, plus they are strong enough to last though 100MH winds and hail without damage. This rotor is designed with 2 blades instead of the traditional 3 blades because the lighter 2 blade structure allows for increased RPM, which in turn powers the generator more quickly. You'll also need the Mount Kit for Delco 10si or 12si alternators. This kit is also included in our Breeze and Lite Breeze kits and provides the mount, tail vanes and bolts to mount the rotor alternator. Also included in this kit, is our exclusive lock collar and low friction Teflon pivot washer that is also included in our wind turbine kits, a first for wind generators in this class. Finally, you'll need a wind generator tail vane to enhance the performance of your wind turbine. Our wind generator tail vanes are constructed from the same 1/8 inch aircraft quality aluminum as the Cy-Clone Rotor Blades, creating a professional look while increasing the performance of your wind turbine. 2 wind generator tails can be used for even better performance, and each are pre-drilled with the proper mounting holes.
